Please work on Sight Words with your child NIGHTLY. The first list can be found inside the Homework Folder in the second plastic sleeve. Introduce a few at a time. When those are mastered, add others in. Do not try to introduce the whole list at once; this will make the task frustrating to your child. Sight words should be made on the index cards from the Supply List. If you sent these into school, I left them in your child's backpack. Be sure to write the words neatly so your child will recognize the letters! The students receive prizes for each list they mastered. Mastering sight word lists is a big deal in our classroom; please help your child be successful at it! A child is expected to know 80 sight words at the end of the year to move on to 1st grade.
